About RungJump

Q: I know what my dream job is, but how do I get there?
A: Get your info first-hand — from someone who's held the position.

RungJump's job reports are written by people with first-hand knowledge of the position they're describing. They'll tell you how they landed their job, and what you can do to get ahead in your chosen career. Each report is vetted before publication to ensure that all of the information is useful and presented clearly.

Why isn't this information free?

Look, we're not out to hustle you — if we were, the job reports would cost a lot more than $2.49 each. There are two main reasons why RungJump job reports aren't free:

1) Quality control

Every RungJump job report is edited to ensure that it provides clear, useful information. In addition, RungJump takes steps to ensure that the report writer has, in fact, held the position that he or she is writing about. This process takes time and resources. If the reports were free, quality control would be impossible to maintain.

2) We believe people should be paid for their work

There aren't very many people who are willing to fill out a rather extensive questionnaire out of the goodness of their hearts. Giving job report writers the chance to earn great rewards allows RungJump to attract more writers. If the job reports were free, our content would suffer.

Want to get rewarded for telling the world about your great job?

RungJump is accepting contributors to supply the insider information featured in our job reports.

You'll receive $25 cash or $25 in iTunes gift cards for every ten times your job description is purchased on RungJump.*

That's 100 percent of the purchase price of the ten job reports, all straight into your pocket.

Contributor Requirements:

  • RungJump only accepts job descriptions from people who have had first-hand experience in the position about which they are writing. You may be asked to verify that you hold or have held the position, e.g. by supplying a URL on the company's site that identifies you as an employee, or by authenticating your work e-mail address.

  • You may write a job description about a position you no longer hold; however, you must have held the position within the past 12 months (or the past 24 months, if you are still employed by the same company but in a different position).

  • Descriptions of freelance work, internships, and part-time or unpaid positions are not generally accepted.

If you've got what it takes, log in or create a RungJump account to begin the process of writing a job report.

* Users who purchase a 30-Day Unlimited Access Plan are not included in the tally. The tally only accrues during the first 365 days after the job report is published. Limit four rewards -- in any combination of cash or gift cards -- per job description. Subject to the terms and conditions of the RungJump Writer's Contract. iTunes is a registered trademark of Apple.
